Obergurgl lies in the Austrian Alps and is one of the highest villages guaranteeing a skiing paradise.

It has and deserves the title "Diamond of the Alps". The name Obergurgl means Ober = Upper and gurgle is the sound the brooks make when coming down the mountains.

Direct flights are from all major UK airports available to Innsbruck and from there buses will transport you to the village Obergurgl.

Ski rental is available at the foot of the ski lift without standing in an endless queue.  Guaranteed snow gives a 70 miles of perfect runs for various abilities of skiing.

The Hochgurgl has a breath-taking view over the mountainous region around and wide, long ski runs. A bus service from the village will take you there.

An eight-miles hiking trail will let you enjoy the clear mountain air, quietness of the winter scenery and explore the most beautiful spots through forest and along mountain brooks.

Along the way are many restaurants to take a break and enjoy the local food at a reasonable price.

In the village are a number of restaurants and pubs with live music to dance the night away.
All restaurants and hotels are decorated in the typical Austrian style and it makes a homely atmosphere.

A great ice rink is open daily from 4.30pm to 10pm.

A 3km long toboggan run gives another occasion to enjoy the winter wonderland.

For horse lovers there is an indoor riding arena where the wellknown Haflinger breed is stable.

Furthermore, many hotels offer wellness facilities where you can rivitalise your aching bones.

For enjoying the winter holiday in Obergurl and saving on package holidays in expensive hotels send for a brochure and book a private accommodation which includes breakfast. It is perfect and very recommendable.
